Another ‘freedom rally’ is expected at Yarmouth town hall tomorrow afternoon.
According to the Facebook group ‘Tri-County Freedom Convoy,’ trucks and vehicles from Shelburne and Digby counties are planning to arrive in Yarmouth around 1:30 p.m. to join in with Yarmouth protesters.
The group says their goal is to bring communities together for freedom, and to stop all COVID-19 health mandates in Nova Scotia.
RCMP say they have been notified, along with EHS, the fire department and the Town of Yarmouth.
Peaceful protests were held last weekend in town, with about one hundred people marching and dozens of vehicles parading through Starrs Road and Main Street.
Many carried signs that expressed opposition to public health mandates and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
