More details about a fire at the Saulnierville Station Kwik Way yesterday.
Public Information Officer for the Nova Scotia RCMP Cpl. Chris Marshall says a man had entered the store yesterday, robbed it and set it on fire.
He says the RCMP are investigating and have identified a person of interest.
When police arrived at the store yesterday they found it fully engulfed in flames.
The Little Brook fire department responded to the fire, with assistance from the St. Bernard and Meteghan departments.
No one was injured in the fire. A GoFundMe page to support the owners has been set up by their daughter, Chelsea Curran, who writes that this has been the first time the store has closed in at least 25 years.
Marshall says they will release more information about their investigation as it becomes available.
