Yarmouth and Digby counties are bracing for the first snowstorm of 2022.
Environment Canada issuing a winter storm watch this morning, as 20-30 centimetres of snow is expected to fall, beginning tomorrow afternoon and lasting until Saturday around noon.
Strong winds are expected to accompany the storm, picking up late in the afternoon tomorrow and through the evening, creating blowing snow and potential white-out conditions.
Winds are expected to gust to 80 kilometres an hour or more.
The forecaster says transportation delays can be expected as travel is expected to become hazardous.
Shelburne County remains under a Special Weather Statement, with a potential for snow or rain.
