Tonight marks one year since the disappearance of Zack Lefave.
He was last seen walking in Plymouth, Yarmouth County shortly after midnight last New Year’s Eve.
12 months later, there are no answers on what happened to the young man in his early 20s.
Lefave’s cousin, Kim Morton says family and friends haven’t stopped looking.
“It’s been hell. We hear tips or rumours, and we run out and look. Then we’ll have weeks of quietness, then there are weeks of utter chaos. It’s been terrible,” says Morton.
Morton says the family is sure there are individuals that know what happened that night, and they need to come forward.
She says her goal is to keep Zack’s name fresh in everyone’s minds.
“We just want closure, and to know where he is so we can bring him home. It’s been a long year of searching, and we won’t stop. Whether it’s this year, next or the year after, it will be figured out.”
Morton says the community has been phenomenal, and Zack’s story has been shared internationally, including on some high profile TikTok accounts.
She says if anyone has information, even if it’s just hearsay, they’re urged to contact RCMP, Crime Stoppers, or a family member.
