A successful year for Argyle MLA Colton LeBlanc.
After getting re-elected over the summer, he is now Minister of Service Nova Scotia, Public Service Commission, and Acadian Affairs and Francophonie in the Tim Houston government.
He was first elected in 2019 in Argyle-Barrington, and says he’s glad to see the former Acadian riding of Argyle restored.
Locally, LeBlanc says he’s excited for construction to continue on the new Ecole Wedgeport.
“It’s due to a lot of hard work and advocacy from the local community and parents, and the school community. It’s great to see that project being successful,” says LeBlanc.
He says he’s proud of government for a number of things, including investing in seniors in long-term care.
“Fifty-seven million dollar investment for more beds, and more staff. But we know there’s a lot more to address in healthcare, and we’re going to continue to work hard and implement our platform in the year ahead.”
He also says the expansion of the virtual care program for Nova Scotians waiting for a family doctor has been successful.
LeBlanc says it’s important to represent Argyle in Halifax, and he’s honoured to to help the region prepare to co-host the Acadian World Congress in 2024.
