Get ready for some holiday fun, and bring some extra winter clothes with you.
On Monday night at 6:30, the Yarmouth Fire Department will be holding a winter clothing drive in the Canadian Tire parking lot on Starrs Road.
Chief Mike Deveau says the ladder truck will be fully lit.
“We’re going to decorate the bucket itself, so when people are driving by, they’ll see the bucket up in the air. As well, we’re going to decorate one of our other fire apparatus, Engine 4, which is our reserve pumper. We’re going to put some lights on that and see how bright we make it,” says Deveau.
Those attending are asked to bring a donation of children’s winter clothing, as normally the department collects during the annual Christmas parade, which did not happen this year.
Hot chocolate will be offered and there may be a visit from Santa.
