A snowfall warning in effect for all of Nova Scotia as our first blast of winter weather arrives.
When will the storm begin to impact the Tri-Counties?
Environment Canada meteorologist Ian Hubbard gives us the latest update.
“Down along the Yarmouth to Shelburne area, you’ll start to see the snow fall and intensify just after supper this evening,” says Hubbard.
The forecast is calling for 15 centimetres of snow for Yarmouth and Digby counties.
Hubbard says it’s possible 20-30 centimetres could fall in Shelburne.
‘The highest amounts will be along the Atlantic coast, which goes from Yarmouth right up to Cape Breton. Some amounts will be around 30 centimetres, especially along the coastline.”
Hubbard says the wind could be a factor too, creating the potential of white-out conditions.
