The Par-en-Bas Sharks took both games against the YCMHS Vikings over the weekend at Mariners Centre. On Friday, the Sharks won 5-3 as both teams wore vintage jerseys to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Mariners Centre. Riley Hubbard scored twice for PEB, Nolan Saulnier, Ben Lyons and Spencer Surette also scored and Miguel Surette was the winning goalie. Tyler MacLeod, Daniel Kenney and Cameron Brown scored for Yarmouth, and Braeden Hipson was in net. On Sunday, the Sharks edged Yarmouth 5-4 in a shootout, with Nolan Saulnier getting the shootout winner. Lucas Cottreau, Caleb d’Entremont, Blake Newell and Spencer Surette scored in regulation, Miguel Surette got the win in net. Landon Watkins-Bonnar had two goals for Yarmouth, Luke MacLeay and Daniel Kenney also scored, and Brady Saulnier was in goal.
The Barrington Barons lost twice on the weekend. They were shutout 6-0 on home ice Friday by the Horton Griffins. Saturday on the road, the Barons lost 5-3 to Middleton. Owen Penney had two goals and Drew Goreham scored the other. Jacob Atwood was in net.
The Digby Mariners lost to West Kings 8-2 Saturday. Avery Gunn and Dylan Covert had the Digby goals.
