It’s a three-game in three-night stretch for the Yarmouth Junior A Mariners.
Tonight they face off against the Ramblers in Amherst, a battle of the top two teams in the Eastlink South Division.
The Mariners sit one point behind Amherst with ten wins in their first 17 games.
Head Coach and GM Laurie Barron says he’ll be looking to make more moves ahead of the January 10th trade deadline.
“If it makes sense, if it makes us better, I feel our fan base deserves a winner. We’ll be trying to make our team as good as it can be, right up until January 10th,” says Barron.
Barron says he’d like to add another top six forward, at least.
“That Cup is sitting in my office, we want to keep it here. We feel like we’re not too far away. We had competitive games with Summerside and Edmundston, and we’re real close.”
The Mariners visit the Truro Bearcats before returning home to face Truro on Saturday night.
Yarmouth will debut their ‘Pink in the Rink’ jerseys on Saturday.
