Valley High School Hockey League: The YCMHS Vikings beat NKEC 3-2 yesterday at home. Ben LeBlanc, Gannon Dufft and Landon Watkins-Bonnar all scored, Brady Saulnier got the win in goal. On Friday, the Vikings were shutout 4-0 at Parkview.
The Par-en-Bas Sharks lost 6-1 to Central Kings at home Saturday. Blake Newell had the lone goal and Miguel Surette was in net. The Sharks defeated Clare 9-1 on Friday night in Church Point. Spencer Surette had five goals, Riley Hubbard, Alyre Richardson, Carson d’Eon and Chandler LeBlanc also scored, and Rylan LeBlanc was in net.
The Barrington Barons beat the Digby Mariners 6-4 on Saturday night at the Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena in Barrington. Drew Goreham had two goals, Jayden Fisher, Colten Hatter, Noel Cameron and Jacob Matthews all scored, and Jacob Atwood got the win. Callum Longmire scored for Digby, along with Daniel Jamieson and Brett Hall, with Eric Dickie in net. The Barons beat West Kings 3-1 on the road Friday. Dakota Ryer, Owen Penney and Noel Cameron scored, with Jacob Atwood picking up the win.
