The Town of Yarmouth’s tree lighting will be in-person this year.
After a virtual event in 2020, those wishing to take in the lighting of the tree in front of town hall and Frost Park will be able to do so.
Mayor Pam Mood says it will take place on Friday, November 26th at 6 p.m.
“We’ll be having all the fun that we used to have, with hot chocolate and carolers. There’s always an excitement in the air. We’re excited to get back to that,” says Mood.
She says they’re hoping people that attend are fully vaccinated, wearing masks and doing their best to stay socially distanced.
“We won’t be checking for vaccination because it’s being held at an outdoor, public space. We just need to do our best as a community.”
Mood says there will be no static parade on Main Street this year, but the committee is working towards a return in 2022.
