Voting in a Special Election for the Municipality of Clare begins this Friday.
It’s to fill a vacancy in District 7, after former Warden Ronnie LeBlanc was elected as MLA for Clare in August’s provincial election.
Returning officer Pam Doucet says four candidates have registered.
“We have Kevin Comeau, Nadine Comeau, Leon Dugas and Reanne Titus,” says Doucet.
Doucet says early voting can be done via the Internet or phone starting 8:30 a.m. on Friday until the election day, Saturday, November 20th at 7 p.m.
On election day, there will be a poll for paper ballots set up at the Meteghan Fire Hall.
District 7 covers parts of the Meteghan, St. Martin, Bear Cove and St. Alphonse areas.
