A fire Tuesday night in the Municipality of Digby gutted a home and displaced a family of six.
It happened early in the evening along Highway 101 in Brighton, a few kilometres southwest of Digby.
The Canadian Red Cross says they’re assisting a couple and four children.
They say their volunteers in the Annapolis Valley have assisted with emergency lodging, food and clothing purchases, and some other basic needs.
According to Dahl Dispatch on Facebook, the Brighton/Barton Fire Department were dispatched, along with the Digby and Plympton/Gilbert’s Cove departments.
