Not much left of a building on Main Street in Yarmouth.
Demolition has been underway for the last week and a half, and the façade of 303/305 and 307/309 Main Street has been knocked down.
Construction crews were digging at the rear part of the building today.
The town ordered for the demolition after the building was deemed a ‘construction safety disaster,’ by inspectors earlier this year.
The building owner was given 30 days to begin demolition, but when that didn’t happen, the town took over.
Council allocated $440,000 for the demolition to be completed.
