Argyle’s MLA is settling into his new roles.
Colton LeBlanc is now the Minister of Acadian Affairs and Francophonie, as well as the Minister overseeing Service Nova Scotia, Internal Services and the Public Service Commission.
LeBlanc says he’s honoured and humbled to be part of Premier Tim Houston’s cabinet.
“I’ve been entrusted with responsibilities of a couple of different departments. I’m looking forward to the days and weeks ahead, to get more informed and briefed on my departments as we get ready for the legislative sitting this fall,” says LeBlanc.
He says it means a great deal to be a proud Acadian in the revived constituency of Argyle.
“It’s very important. I’m very humbled to have the opportunity to sit in that office and to be a voice for the Acadian community province-wide.”
LeBlanc was elected with the majority of the vote in last month’s provincial election, after serving two years as MLA for Argyle-Barrington.
