Student pick-up and drop-off at Yarmouth Elementary School will look a bit different to start the school year.
Due to construction on Parade Street, parents and guardians will have to access Brunswick Street, and use Grand Street behind the school as the main location.
The Tri-County Regional Centre for Education have sent emails about the changes.
Dr. Chris Boulter, Regional Executive Director of Education says they also have information online.
“I would encourage everyone to take a look at our Facebook page, you’ll find some very specific instructions on what we’d like that to look like, so we can get everyone in and out of that spot safely and without much congestion,” says Dr. Boulter.
The front parking lot will be staff only for the time being.
The detour is expected to last about a month, as the town continues to work on the Parade Street sewer separation project.
The work will extend to the four way stop that intersects with Pleasant Street.
School starts September 7th.
