Universite Sainte-Anne are keeping in line with other post secondary institutions when it comes to COVID-19 safety policies.
Starting October 15th, new regulations will come into effect at campuses across the province, including Church Point.
President and Vice-Chancellor Allister Surette says it’s to ensure the health and safety of the students, staff and community.
“We’ll ask students and staff to show proof of vaccination before they access any of our campuses. If they have not received two doses of vaccine, or they do not show proof, they’ll have to undergo two rapid tests a week and show their results,” says Surette.
Surette says a few international students have arrived, and are self-isolating, and most of the students attending classes are from Atlantic Canada.
He says there will be more students than last year on campus, as more in-person learning takes place.
Wearing a mask, practicing physical distancing, and frequent hand washing and sanitizing will still be required on campus.
Rapid asymptomatic testing will be available at the Church Point and Halifax sites.
Classes begin on Tuesday.
