With all this talk of back to school and it being almost September, I find my mind has been wandering to my first day of school! Not the first day of High School mind you. The first day of Elementary School! For me, as for a lot of people it was a very exciting but also anxious experience. Stepping onto the big orange school bus for the first time and then finally walking into the “Big” school. Everything was so new and different.
What made it easier for me, was my grandfather was still teaching in the same school at the time so I got to go home with him. I also remember him checking in on me throughout the day, so that was nice! I grew to really like school (most of the time) and still have fond memories of it to this day. My Mom and Dad were also teachers in the same school as me for awhile so that also kept me on my toes!
