Elections Nova Scotia is out with the unofficial election results for voter turnout.
The agency says although it’s still to early to provide the final details, some numbers can be released.
The official data is expected on Thursday, while the post-election report will be issued in the coming months.
Elections Nova Scotia says a total of 418,213 votes were cast, and 58 per cent of the ballots were filled out on election day.
The total number of early ballots received was 176,514 or 42 per cent.
Now how does this compare to the provincial campaign in 2017?
A total of 401,242 ballots were cast, and 70 per cent of those votes happened on election day.
Meantime, 118,623 early votes were received.
