A chance to honour the heroes of the Yarmouth area.
The Town of Yarmouth has partnered with the Royal Canadian Legion Yarmouth Branch 61 to offer the Veterans Memorial Banner Program.
Applications are now open to have a full colour banner of a veteran displayed along Main Street in Yarmouth, during the month leading up to Remembrance Day.
The banners will be placed on light poles from Frost Park to Forest Street
A total of 30 spots are available and the cost of each banner is $122.50.
Payments can be made at town hall. The veterans name and service details will be displayed on the banner, along with the sponsor’s name.
After Remembrance Day, the banners will be stored and used for the next three years.
The program is open to residents of the Town and Municipality of Yarmouth as well as the Municipality of Argyle.
