Nova Scotians will head to the polls for an election on August 17th.
In the Tri-Counties, there are five ridings we’ll be keeping an eye on.
So far, for Yarmouth, incumbent Liberal and Health Minister Zach Churchill will be challenged by newcomer PC candidate Candice Clairmont, the NDP’s SJ Rogers and Adam Randall of the Green Party.
In the new Argyle riding, former paramedic Colton LeBlanc of the PC’s will face 19 year old Liberal Nick d’Entremont and Robin Smith of the NDP.
In Clare, Liberal Ronnie LeBlanc and PC Carl Deveau have declared, along with Cameron Pye for the NDP, and up the 101 in Digby-Annapolis, Jimmy McAlpine is running for the Liberals, Jill Balser for the PC’s and Michael Carty for the NDP.
In Shelburne, municipal Warden Penny Smith is running for the Liberals, Nolan Young for the PC’s and Darren Stoddard for the NDP
All parties have until July 28th to get candidate nominations in.
