Several blood donation clinics are in our region this week.
Today, Canadian Blood Services are hosting a clinic at the Barrington Passage Lions Club Hall from 1-3 and 5-8.
Tomorrow and Wednesday, the clinic moves to the Rodd Grand Hotel in Yarmouth before wrapping up Thursday at the Clare Veterans Centre.
Deborah MacGillivary, Territory Manager for Canadian Blood Services says they need donors to fill a lot of appointments on Wednesday especially.
“We’re at the Rodd Grand Hotel. We have about 50 appointments that are available. We encourage everyone to download the ‘Give Blood’ app, visit blood.ca or call 1-888-2DONATE to make an appointment,” says MacGillivary.
MacGillivary says there are select appointments available on the other days.
COVID-19 protocols are in place at the clinics.
She says donations have been strong during the pandemic.
