Yarmouth’s Relay for Life will look a little different again this year.
For the second year in a row, it will be a virtual event.
Anna Thomas with the Canadian Cancer Society says all the things from Relay for Life that we know and love will be included.
“We will be celebrating our survivors, and we’ll have performances from exciting entertainers, and of course the luminary ceremony,” said Thomas.
The virtual ceremony will take place on Saturday night at 9 p.m. on the Canadian Cancer Society’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
Thomas says digital luminaries are available by donation.
She says it’s been a challenging year, even more so for families living with cancer.
“People in Yarmouth and across Nova Scotia who are living with cancer still really need this support through Relay for Life. It’s not too late to sign up and register to fundraise.”
