The Town of Yarmouth sharing an update on Yarmouth’s Main Street Streetscape Project.
The public art portion of the project are being installed, including the ‘Lobster Car’ shelters.
Mayor Pam Mood says the displays are welcome addition to the downtown, and honour Yarmouth’s heritage in the lobster industry.
“So the lobster car will be divided up, and spread throughout Main Street. They are colourful and inviting, they provide some shade, and will provide great photo opportunities. We’re really excited to get them installed.”
A piece is already being installed at Central Street, and another is being put up at Jenkins Street.
Mood says kitchen party chairs will also be put in soon.
She says work is progressing well on the streetscape project.
