Yarmouth MLA and Health and Wellness Minister Zach Churchill is reacting to news that the Nova Scotia government is pumping more than $12 million in additional support for businesses hit hard by the pandemic as a result of a third wave.
He says when we come out of COVID-19, businesses need to be on a quick road to recovery.
“Critical for our local businesses, particularly our tourism businesses, who have been hit by the closure of the border, and the restrictions on travel within Nova Scotia.”
He says businesses that are affected should get their applications in for the Small Business Impact Grant.
Churchill says nothing will cover all the losses businesses have had since the pandemic began, but this will help them survive.
