Work on the Yarmouth International Ferry Terminal on Water Street continues.
Yarmouth town council will approve the ninth work package for Phase 1 renovations, for the installation of CCTV, PA systems and electrical work.
The tender will be awarded to Ryan’s Electrical for just under $128,000.
Mayor Pam Mood says they are really close to completion.
“We wanted it to be done in case the ferry ran this season, but that certainly won’t be happening. They are just moving as quickly as they can. Next month work will begin on yard lights. We do each package separately, and we’re moving right along.”
The building has also received new windows, doors, brick repairs and siding.
The town has also completed to the terminal yard, including sewer, electrical and concrete.
