Vandalism is popping up significantly in the Town of Yarmouth.
Whether it’s graffiti or property being destroyed, town staff has noticed more and more of it lately.
Yarmouth’s Mayor is disappointed with that news.
Pam Mood says it costs taxpayers money.
“It costs thousands of dollars to remove graffiti, to do the fixes to anything that’s broken and to clean things up. We need to get a handle on that, but we have to find the people doing it.”
Mood says if citizens see anything suspicious happening, never hesitate to call the RCMP.
She says even a street has been sprayed with graffiti recently.
