The Yarmouth Mariners have had a week off to get ready for the MHL playoff round-robin.
Tomorrow night, they open things up in Bridgewater against the South Shore Lumberjacks.
The Mariners were given four points to start the round-robin, because of their first place finish in this year’s Eastlink South Division standings.
Head Coach and GM Laurie Barron says they’re treating every game like it’s a Game 7.
“We’re going to act like we start at zero. Hopefully we don’t need the four point jump, but it’s nice to have in the back pocket.”
The Mariners continue the round-robin Sunday against the Valley Wildcats on the road.
Barron says they got a good week of practice in, as it gave some players a chance to heal up.
“We start in pretty good shape. We still have a couple players out injured, but for this time of year, we’re not too bad.”
