Another fire at an abandoned structure this morning in Yarmouth County.
The call came in around 6:40 a.m. at 1700 Melbourne Road, after a passerby noticed the fire.
Acting chief of the Yarmouth fire department Mike Deveau says crew staff arrived quickly and extinguished the blaze.
Lake Vaughn and Wedgeport also responded, the scene is now cleared.
Deveau thanked the mutual aid departments for their quick response.
He says the department is working with the Fire Marshall’s office and RCMP to investigate the recent string of fires at abandoned structures.
Deveau asks the community to remain vigilant, and report any suspicious activity to authorities.
