A couple of Sundays ago, on Easter Sunday afternoon, it started to snow. Which is kind of funny I guess, but here in the Tri Counties it seems like there have been more white Easters than white Christmases.
At any rate. Easter means spring, and I didn’t care if it was snowing or not.
I was getting Ice Cream.
And I did. My wife Kathy and I headed over to one of the local Ice Cream Shops. We were the only one there at the time. I laughingly wished the worker “Happy Easter” ands she replied “Merry Christmas” with a laugh. And the Ice Cream was great.
This past weekend we celebrated a belated Easter with my daughter Amber, her partner Nathaniel and my Granddaughter Clementine, and I took Clem out for….Ice Cream. And of course it was a ball.

When I was a kid, I loved it when my parents took us for Ice Cream, and it’s kind of continued with the Grandkids. And…I really like Ice Cream.
You know how people barbecue year round? I’m like that with Ice Cream. If there’s a blizzard in the forecast, guess what I’m thinking about?
I have a couple of Ice Cream go-tos – Hot Fudge Sundaes and Butterscotch Sundaes – but really, I love it all. Soft serve, hard ice cream, waffle cones, parfaits, it’s ALL good. And in the Tri Counties we are pretty lucky that we have several really terrific Ice Cream Shops to choose from
