Tomorrow is International Transgender Day of Visibility.
Ceremonies will take place at both Yarmouth town hall and the municipal office in Argyle at 10am.
The events are being organized by the Yarmouth Pride Collective.
Member Douglas Fevens says this is an important day to recognize.
“It’s important for people to realize that there are people in their community who struggle, and they should be recognized. As it is now, the (transgender) community is invisible almost. It would be great to see people there tomorrow to show their support.”
A flag raising will take place at Yarmouth town hall, and the presentation of the transgender flag will happen in Argyle.
Everyone is welcome to attend, with social distancing in place.
