A virtual event through Yarmouth Recreation will get residents moving.
A ‘Yarmouth to Yarmouth’ walk will help track the amount of steps it takes to get to Yarmouth, Maine.
Sara LeBlanc, Community Recreation Coordinator says the success of their ‘Walk Fundy’ challenge inspired this one.
“Now that we know people can walk to the border and walk back and even further, we’ve decided to increase it to about 1,200 kilometres.”
LeBlanc says the recreation department in Yarmouth, Maine is very excited about this.
She says it’s a fun way to stay connected during the pandemic.
You can register for free through Yarmouth Recreation, and the event runs from April 1st until late September.
