It’s a busy day in Yarmouth Provincial Court.
About two dozen people are set to appear today in relation to incidents at a Middle West Pubnico lobster pound last October.
A van was vandalized and hundreds of lobsters were spread on the ground outside.
A few days later, the lobster pound was destroyed by a suspicious fire.
Eight people are charged with mischief and break and enter, while 15 are charged with break and enter.
The incidents came as tensions between commercial and Mi’kmaw fishers were at an all-time high.
Commercial fishers were upset over an out of season moderate livelihood fishery by the Sipekne’katik First Nation.
