Visitors to the Town of Digby think very highly of the community.
Expedia.ca recently ranked the 20 ‘Friendliest Towns and Cities in Canada’, and Digby came in at number two.
Travelers were surveyed, and said it’s a great place to experience the east coast and grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant.
Digby Mayor Ben Cleveland is excited about the news.
“We always hear about how friendly Nova Scotians are. In Digby, we try and take it to the next level. We’re always smiling and having a good time, always trying to hold some type of festival. We’ll speak to anyone that comes into town. When we get past the COVID situation, I think demand will pick up for travel. People seeing this will know what Digby is about and Nova Scotia as well. It’s wonderful.”
Baddeck, Nova Scotia came in at number four.
Radium Hot Springs, BC was named the ‘Friendliest Town.’
The list was compiled from traveler reviews from January, 2019 to December, 2020.
