The Yarmouth Mariners wrapped up a perfect weekend with a 6-4 win over the South Shore Lumberjacks last night at Mariners Centre.
Jordan McKenna scored twice as the Mariners outshot the Jacks 62-32.
Yarmouth won all three games this weekend, and remain in first place in the Eastlink South Division.
They beat Pictou County 4-1 Saturday night at home, and took down the Valley Wildcats on Friday 5-4 in overtime as Chase Carter netted the OT winner.
Justin Sumarah was in net for the two home wins, and Bryson Uberoi got the victory Friday.
Head Coach and General Manager Laurie Barron says this could be a season defining stretch.
“It’s one of those make or break parts of your season. To come out of the last four games with seven out of eight points is good. There are no easy games in our division this year. Everyone is loaded up. This stretch puts us in good shape for first place in our division.”
The Mariners now lead Amherst by seven points for first place in the Eastlink South Division.
Yarmouth next plays Friday on the road against the Lumberjacks before hosting Amherst Saturday.
