Yarmouth MLA and Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development Zach Churchill has thrown his support behind provincial Liberal leadership candidate Iain Rankin.
There are two other candidates in the running: Randy Delorey and Labi Kousoulis.
In a video released on social media over the weekend, Churchill says Rankin has been a ‘thought leader’ in cabinet and caucus, and is focused on policy solutions.
“He’s also visited Yarmouth and surrounding area twice during this leadership campaign, and I know he takes our issues very seriously and has some ideas on how to support our economy and our communities.”
The Liberal leadership race is being held virtually this year.
Delegates will select a new leader and premier on February 6th.
