A movie based on the invention of the Rubik’s Cube is in the works. The film will tell the story how Professor Erno Rubik’s toy became a pop culture phenomenon in the ’80s and beyond. The Rubik’s Cube was invented in 1974 and was licensed as a toy in 1980, and to date over 450 million have been sold around the world. No scheduled release date has been announced.
