Deer hunting season is fast approaching! Regular deer hunting starts on October 26th in Nova Scotia! To be fair though deer hunting has been open for awhile for certain weapons. Hunting, and especially deer hunting has been a Nova Scotia tradition for years and was sometime simply a means to get food. That’s not necessarily the case now but still, every year thousands of people go into the woods and stay at camps to hunt deer.
It’s also a time for all of us non hunters and really anyone in the woods to wear orange! This will help keep you safe and help you stand out to hunters in the area. It’s also recommended that you carry a compass and let someone know where you are going and when you will be back. Whether you hunt or not stay safe out there during the season!
Do you hunt? Have you ever gone hunting? When did you start? What do you hunt? Let me know! Call in at 1800-496-2557 or comment on our Facebook Page!
