After being shut down for six months due to the COVID-19 pandemic Great Canadian Gaming the parent company of Casino Nova Scotia has announced both Casino Nova Scotia locations will reopen on October 5.
The two casinos will operate at around one-third of there legal capacity in order to accommodate physical distancing. Some games will be shut down as well for the same reason with around 40 per cent of slot machines expected to be shut down as part of the initial reopening.
Certain amenities will not be offered as well and you can see exactly what is and is not available in the reopening guidelines released by Great Canadian Gaming.
With 100 per cent of gambling revenue being funnelled back to the province, the government will be relieved that what is usually a source of over $20 million dollars in revenue will be able to operate again, albeit at a reduced capacity.
