Some good news for anglers in Nova Scotia.
You can now go online to purchase your general and salmon sportfishing licences.
Anglers can still purchase a licence in person at one of over 200 vendors if they prefer but they now have that online option available.
Obtaining a fishing licences for a disabled person or getting a replacement licence must still be done in person.
The government says sportfishing is worth around $66 million each year to the province’s economy and that it is one of the province’s most popular outdoor sports, with more than 67,000 people taking part last year.
