The Mayor of the Town of Yarmouth is speaking out about a recent rash of vandalism in the community.
Mayor Pam Mood took to facebook live to address residents on Saturday afternoon, asking everyone to be band together as a community and report any instances of vandalism or suspicious activity to the authorities.
“It appears that late at night we have some folks that… must not have anything better to do,” she stated. “They’re out in the community and they are doing things like smashing people’s windows.”
She says the Town RCMP detachment are aware of the recent spate of events, and expecting calls should incidents arise.
They can be reached at 902-742-8777.
Mayor Mood also says residents who may witness any vandalism or mischief can phone Crime Stoppers as well, 1-800-222-8477.
