The Government of Nova Scotia is making a number of changes to Registry of Motor Vehicle services in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
Any vehicle registrations, for all vehicle types, expiring Dec. 31, 2019, and later, will now be good until Aug. 31, although you can vehicle renewed your registration online.
If your driver licence expires in March, April, May and June, it will have a five-month extension from the original expiry date.
Motor vehicle inspections expiring in March, April or May will continue to be valid until June 30.
There will be no driver knowledge and road tests until further notice and all licence plates and driver licences from outside of Nova Scotia, as well as any blue accessible parking permits are now valid until Aug. 31.
