The Town of Yarmouth has announced that Phase I of redevelopment of the Yarmouth International Ferry Terminal is now underway.
A provincially-advertised tender closed on January 30th, and was awarded to Graham Construction of Yarmouth.
Some of the work currently underway includes installation of new roofing for the main terminal building and demolition of the passenger gangway and stevedore building, which are no longer needed – or will be replaced.
The town says all work for this initial project is scheduled to be completed by April 30th and will not interfere with regular operation of the ferry service.
