RCMP in St. Peter’s are asking the public’s help solving a case that it describes as ‘mischief’.
Police say that on Boxing Day, RCMP received a report of a fishing boat that sunk in the St. Peter’s Canal.
The boat was removed from the canal, and an investigation has determined the incident to be suspicious.
The boat’s owner, Ashton Bernard of Eskasoni, has told other media outlets that bullet holes were blasted through the deck of his vessel.
RCMP is asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them.
