If you have Spotify or another music streaming service you might have recently had a playlist made for you of all your most played songs of the year. The apps keep track of what you listen to and how often you listen to each song. My top played song of the year was supposedly Don’t Do Me Like That by, Tom Petty and the Heart Breakers. That does not surprise me but I would not say it was my song of the the year! I like so many different types of music and at Y95 you hear all kinds of great music so it is hard to pick a favorite song of the year!
We now have access to basically every song that has ever been recorded! We also have now had a better opportunity to hear from artists of different nationalities and cultures. This way we can hear their stories and hear their unique style first hand through their music! Either on our phones or on the radio! So… 2019 is almost over, what song did you have on repeat or could not wait to hear played again? It can be new or old!
