Red means no burning, yellow is burning only allowed between 7pm and 8am the following day.
The Department of Natural Resources has issued a burn ban for parts of the South Shore.
No burning is permitted in Queens or Lunenburg Counties and burning is restricted in the Tri-Counties.
DNR will be updating the burn restrictions later today but with the dry conditions and slightly windy conditions in the forecast for the next few days, the ban could stay in effect further into the week.
According to Environment Canada, rain is expected for Friday evening and into the weekend.
