The 33rd annual Shelburne County Lobster Festival kicks off Thursday.
Events celebrating the lobster fishing industry will take place over those four days.
Committee member Anna Kenney says the official opening is Friday evening at 7 at the Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena in Barrington.
“following the opening is the Great Lobsterman Challenge. We get a lot of people that come out to that. It’s local fishermen who try and compete against each other in various activities.”
Those activities include rope coiling or banding lobster.
Events take place throughout the county.
