International Women’s Day is this Friday.
The Tri-County Women’s Centre is celebrating with a luncheon.
Executive Director Lisanne Turner tells CJLS News it will be from 12 until 2PM at the centre, 12 Cumberland St. in Yarmouth
“So, the teme for this year is “Balance for Better: Bulding a Gender-Balanced World, so we’ll have some opportunities for people to kind of interact around that theme at the luncheon and just enjoy some time together, celebrate women and eat together on International Women’s Day”
There is also a gala at the Barrington Lions Hall honouring women from Shelburne County.
“Thet’re honouring women from the municipal units in Shelburne County and , if there’s an interest in attending that, the seats are filling up. So, RSVP for the event in Barrington, call 902-875-4-7-7-7”
The admission for the luncheon is a free will offering and you must RSVP to the centre by the end of tomorrow (Wednesday).
