Nova Scotia’s lone federal cabinet minister is stepping down.
President of the Treasury Board Scott Brison announced this morning he would be giving up that role.
He says he also will not be re-offering in October’s federal election.
Brison has been in Parliament for the past 22 years as the representative of Kings-Hants.
He says he will work with the Prime Minister to ensure a smooth transition.
And looks forward to spending more time with his family.
