The provincial Department of Transportation is on site where flooding is occurring in Yarmouth County.
It’s behind a residence in Arcadia next to Route 334 to Wedgeport.
DOT spokesperson Bill Thurston tells CJLS News they brought in an excavator.
“We’re working in the lake there trying to get the culvert cleaned out. It’s very deep down there and we can’t see exactly what we’re doing but it seems to be working a little bit.”
Thurston says it’s been an ongoing problem.
The Yarmouth County Ground Search Team is on standby in case sandbags are needed, at the request of Yarmouth County EMO.
